This place is amazing! The food was great, and the workers were so kind. I would've taken a photo. But I ate everything so quick. I loved the dining room, it felt like my childhood home. 10/10 recommend

We're three dudes from out of town on a snowboarding trip, and this is collectively our favorite restaurant now. Amazing deals on the dozen tamales. The tacos are also *chef's kiss*. And the service! Can't be beat. Such nice people. Don't forget to grab some homemade banana bread and a FREE donut!

The Lady Tamales came through during a Yelp search in the Dayton area as I was looking for a work week lunch spot. I do not believe i would have seen this restaurant in passing. I pulled in and upon going in there was another customer in line. I could hear someone in the back kitchen area stating, "be right with you" in a warm tone. The customer in front of me looked at me and said, "I hope it's good." I told her the reviews online showed favorable reviews. I liked that there were a variety of food options all with pictures to get a sense of quantity and portions. I ordered two tamales one pork and one beef and a sunkist beverage. The tamale flavoring was good it was just a too soft texture for me. I wouldn't mind coming back to try another dish as the service was very warm and welcoming.

This taqueria is the best hole in the wall down here in Carson city! The owner is always in the kitchen and greets you upon arrival. The food comes out exceedingly fast and wonderful as always. Decisions decisions, so many great combinations to choose from, with the exception of a few, I've probably tried everything on her menu and I never grow tired of them. This time I had the taco, enchilada and tamale combination. Accompany with their wonderful house salsa! For those of you that are worried about the food being too spicy, I can allay your fears, don't use the habanero sauce on the table. The food is always a treat here.

A wonderful hole in the wall restaurant with tasty homemade foods. This little restaurant with couple of dining tables is very underrated and unassuming but very welcoming with friendly staff. There's a pictured menu at the counter and pictures of the dishes along the wall. No prices are posted but they are mostly around $10-12 a plate and $15 for a dozen delicious tamales. I'm a huge fan of beef tamale and the one I had here was very good. We enjoyed the steak Ranchero plate and the beef trio plate and was quite happy with the size and the flavor. The pozole soup was huge and filled with large chunks of pork. Must try is the flan, which had a dense texture like a light cheesecake, which was DELICIOUS. Overall, the friendliness of staff and the delicious food make this place a great find.

On our way back to Tahoe from Virginia City, I found the Lady Tamale. She's in a building attached to a few other businesses in a residential neighborhood. Inside is quite small with only a few tables. There were people waiting at tables for to go orders an eat in. She took our order, #10 & #11, and told us we pay after. My heart went out to her because she was all by herself and looked so tired. Yet, she carried on. Pork and chicken tamales were the only ones left. We had pork tamales, cheese enchilada, and beef taco with rice and beans. The food was homemade and good, especially the beans.

THIS LOCATION IS OPEN! These are the best tamales I have ever eaten. We ordered pork and beef tamales..we shared a Three tamale combo, added one and asked for a side of beans because I don't care for rice. They split it on two plates. Owner came out and visited with us..told us she would be at taste of Carson City that night. They are closed on Sunday and Monday, but open the rest of the week. Wild little drive to get here..but WORTH IT. Keep this place going....it is just too great....
